WHS FutureStation Nano now called WHS NanoTrader - November 2015

As part of our transition to a new, superior technological infrastructure our popular, in-house trading platform, WHS FutureStation Nano, has been renamed WHS NanoTrader. As before, the WHS NanoTrader platform allows the trading of options, CFD, forex and futures.

New website - October 2015
Our new website is now available. Besides the new look and feel a particular novelty are the "I want to" buttons. These buttons allow active investors to search for their particular trading interests. They can then see which elements from our offer meet their particular needs.

New screener and new scalping trading strategy - July 2015
The famous Bread&Butter screener has been added to the platform. This screener designed by Dr. Thomas K. Carr screens for forex pairs, indices and stocks which are in a clear trend but which are currently deviating from their trend. The trading strategies in the platform have been expanded with a strategy for scalpers and daytraders: T-line scalping.

A revolution ... GROUP TRADING - August 2014 This unique service allows traders to trade together in real-time groups. You can join an existing trading group or you can start your own. Once again, the editors of the prestigious financial publishing house "Fuchs-Briefe" have reviewed all brokers in Germany. The service level, the overall offer, the quality of advice and the transparency were the main criteria which were analyzed. For the first time the important distinction was made between introducing brokers (send clients to licensed brokers but have no license themselves) and licensed brokers such as WH SelfInvest. In order to increase their revenues several exchanges have decided to significantly increase their charges to traders using their market prices. Given the limited interest in these markets and in order to avoid passing on these costs to our clients we have decided to halt access to the following markets: Sidney, Hong Kong, Oslo, Stockholm, Milan and Helsinki.

Futures & options: mobile trading platform - May 2014 Futures clients using the WHS FutureStation Nano in conjunction with our CQG datafeed now have a mobile trading platform at their disposal. With their username and password they can log in to the new "CQG M" mobile trading platform. CQG M is free and can be used on PCs, tablets and mobile phones.

Futures: more trading platforms - May 2014 Using our new CQG datafeed clients can connect a great variety of trading platforms of their own choice to our order execution. Examples include NinjaTrader, Multicharts, QTrader and SierraCharts.

Options on futures - May 2014
Clients with a futures account can now also trade options on futures. Options and futures are held on the same account and benefit from a combined margin calculation. To keep things simple … the option order commissions are the same as our low futures order commissions. We start by offering options quoted on the Eurex, CME and Euronext. The most important options on futures are those on DAX, CAC, Dow, AEX, S&P, SMI, Bund, gold, oil and the EUR/USD.

Forum: Forex signals - May 2014 Our popular trading forum has been expanded with forex trading signals (subforum: FOREX today). The signals are based on Eric Lefort’s bullish breakout strategy. Five new express functions are available for the platform. These functions allow users to: format dates and times more easily, send out an e-mail alert for any type of event and, use indicators, stops and targets based on a higher timeframe than the timeframe of the main chart. We have started a new "trading signals" library. The first four signals have now been added to the WHS FutureStation platform. In total over 100 trading signals will be available. The "trading signals" library complements the existing "trading strategies" library which currently contains 42 strategies. From the library you can select a trading signal which fits the market situation. A rebound is losing strength? Select a false rebound signal. A volatile market which changes direction frequently? Select a reversal signal.

WHS opens office in Switzerland - June 2013
With the approval of the BaFin WH SelfInvest has opened a representative office in Zurich, Switzerland. Sales and support are available in French, German and Italian. The office has a large presentation room and the Swiss team will frequently organize free presentations, seminars and platform training sessions.

CFD: Highly correlated stocks in WHS TechScan - February 2013
Pair trading strategies are aimed at profiting from price divergence/convergence between two stocks. This form of trading is most suitable with stocks which are highly correlated. Two stocks are correlated when their prices tend to move in sync. Traders can now search for highly correlated stocks in WHS TechScan. A first query gives, for each stock of a given market index, the five most correlated stocks within that market index. A second query gives, for each stock of a given industry sector, the most correlated stocks within that industry sector.

Multiple cores or processors within one PC are becoming mainstream. Today a normal PC could have 2 to 16 cores. Futures: Significant price reductions - November 2010
The monthly subscription rates for WHS FutureStation have been significantly reduced for futures trading. The subscription for WHS Futurestation with intraday historic data has been reduced by -20%. The version with full long-term historic data has been reduced by -11%. In addition all modules which were previously paying (Automated trading, Express and, Optimizer) are now 100% free. 

CFD: Narrower spread AEX - October 2010
The CFD based on the AEX index (symbol N25) has been offered since some time with an even narrower spread of 0,2. This spread is available until 22h00.

Free trading strategies - September 2010
Six free trading strategies have been added to the trading platforms. More strategies will be added shortly. In total, clients will have more than 100 free trading strategies at their disposal. Each strategy is accompanied by a clear description, movies and practical implementation notes. The strategies can be implemented manually or automatically. There are strategies for all types of trading (swing, day …) and all financial instruments (forex, CFD, futures …). The strategies are free for WH SelfInvest clients.  

Pattern recognition: WHS AutoChartist - September 2010
Clients can now use WHS AutoChartist, our new professional chart pattern recognition tool. This tool is free and automatically identifies all important chart patterns as well as all six Fibonacci chart patterns. Chart patterns are a valuable source of trading signals. Traders get an automatic notification on their screen when a chart pattern is about to appear.

Pairs trading - September 2010
Pairs trading (also called long-short trading or market neutral trading) is a strategy used by all institutional investors. A web page containing a clear explanation of this strategy has been added to our website. A new functionality to identify and analyze pairs has been added to WHS TechScan module. WHS FutureStation already contained a tool to plot and analyze pairs. If you are interested in swing trading it will be worth your while to look into pairs trading.

Forex: Fractional pips - August 2010
Starting 9 August forex spreads will be quoted in fractional pips i.e. one decimal smaller than a pip. If, for example, the price goes up the spread would now evolve from 1,3201 – 1,3202 to 1,3202 – 1,3203. With fractional pips the price could now evolve as follows for example, 1,32011 – 1,32021, 1,32012 – 1,32022, 1,32013 – 1,32023 etc. This brings our quoting to the highest industrial standard in the institutional forex market.

The new "TwinCharts" functionality allows traders to link charts which are in different time frames. The linked charts then become one trading tool. Traders use charts in higher time frames to identify the market trend or to place orders on important support or resistance levels. With TwinCharts, for example, you can draw a trend channel in a day chart and it will also appear automatically in your trading chart. Or you can place an order based on support or resistance in the Day chart and the order will appear in your main trading chart.  

Futures: Analyze your trading day - March 2010
The new "Daytrading Statistics" tool in WHS FutureStation generates an analytic report of your trading day. The sort function allows you to group your trades according to one or more criteria. All data in the report can be exported into Excel with a single click. A thorough analysis of your trading day can contribute to increased profits.  

Broker comparison: WH SelfInvest once again No. 1 - March 2010 The "Fuchs-Briefe", one of the most renowned financial newsletters in Germany, have voted WH SelfInvest to be the "Top CFD-Broker 2010". They have defined WHS to be “recommended without reservations”. Forex : Micro lots - February 2010
The smallest spot forex ordersize is now 1.000. This is called a micro lot. The other order sizes remain 10.000 (mini lot) and 100.000 (standard lot).

Starting October 5th the commission will no longer be a function of the order size. In the US markets brokers tend to work more and more with commissions based on the number of shares. The CFDs based on the Nikkei (symbols JP225 and JP225xx) are now offered at an even lower spread. The cash market CFD has a new spread of 5 – 8 (previous 5 – 10). The future CFD has a new spread of 8 – 15 (previous 10 – 15).

The CFD offer has been expanded with a CFD on the famous and popular U.S. Dollar Index. Starting today, 20 August, the uptick rule no longer applies to Nyse, Amex and Nasdaq stocks. Short sell orders entered by retail investors will be executed immediately. An preceding uptick is no longer required. It is advised to use the ATD router when placing such orders.

Futures: stop orders on server (SYOMS) - July 2007
Contrary to other exchanges like, for example, Eurex, Euronext does not allow stop orders to reside on its server. Going forward your stop orders on the AEX future, the CAC40 future, … are held on the server of the depository bank.
